Industrial & Custom Steam Distributing Coils
Explore Industrial and Custom Steam Distributing Coils from Advanced Coil, engineered to prevent freezing and deliver reliable performance in extreme temperature environments. Our non-freeze steam distributing coils, including Models DS and DO, feature inner distributing tubes that deliver steam evenly and keep condensate from freezing—making them ideal for air temperatures below 40°F.
Often referred to as “no-freeze” coils, these Industrial Distributing Steam Coils incorporate an inner tube housed within the primary tube, creating an efficient dual-tube design. The inner tube distributes steam to the far end of the coil, where it returns and condenses in the surrounding annular space. As the steam travels, the warmth of the inner tube acts as a built-in heat trace, preventing condensate in the outer tube from freezing and ensuring dependable performance in low-temperature applications.
Constructed with precision TIG welding and available with ASME “U” stamp or CRN certification, these coils are built to perform in the most demanding industrial environments. Offered in a variety of materials and configurations, each coil is customized to meet the specific needs of industries such as power generation, food processing, and chemical processing.
Trust Advanced Coil for custom-engineered steam distributing coils that deliver exceptional reliability, durability, and thermal performance—no matter the conditions.

Custom Steam Distribution Coils Design
Non-Freeze Steam coils feature an inner tube inside the primary tube for two reasons. The inner tube distributes the steam to the far end of the primary tube where the steam returns and condensed in the annular area between the tubes. The inner tube also acts as a heat-trace to keep the primary tube from freezing. Advanced Coil custom designs non-freeze coils & steam distributing coils with TIG welded tube side construction, and ASME ‘U’ stamp or CRN construction available upon request. Non-Freeze Steam Coils, also known as Type DS coils, are available as both one-row and two-row deep coils with the steam feed connection and the condensate return connection on the same end.
Advanced Coil manufactures steam distribution coils in the following materials:
